Dress Code

While on campus during school hours, students will wear appropriate school attire, including shoes, at all times. Appropriate school attire shall be worn as to not disrupt or interfere with the learning environment, activities and/or educational process, including school-related activities that are held during or after school. School officials will work with students, parents, and teachers in communicating ongoing changes in apparel considered disruptive to the educational process. 

*Note: Principal & staff reserve the right to determine if a student’s clothing is deemed as meeting the school dress code or not. 

  • Shoes must be worn at all times. 

  • Hoodie sweatshirts are allowed, but hoods must be off of the students’ head when inside the school buildings. 

  • Hats, caps, beanies, and/or visors are allowed on campus, but MUST NOT display any inappropriate language/ insignia.  These are not to be worn inside the building. 

  • Hair styles not permitted; spiked, hang and cover the face or eyes, extreme hair dye/color, etc. 

  • Torn or ripped clothing is only allowed with appropriate clothing underneath

  • Shirts must be of a length to cover midriff or underwear, and must be worn at all times. 

  • Pants may not be worn below the hips, or at a length that shows undergarments and/or athletic shorts used as undergarments.

  • Pins, buttons, patches, other insignias, or articles of clothing that advertise or promote the use of tobacco, alcohol, or drugs, or that are lewd, profane, or have sexual connotations, or that identify students as members of GANGS, secret clubs, or other groups that have a negative association are not allowed. *Students may not display any of the previous on backpacks, items on notebooks, book covers, or any other visible items. 

  • Skirts, shorts and dresses must not be higher than three inches above the knee. The length still applies, regardless of wearing leggings, stockings, or nylons under the dress, shorts, or skirt. **The student wearing any clothing, made from any type of material that causes a distraction at school, be it too revealing, see through, or too form-fitting, will be sent to the office for review.

  • The neckline of shirts, sleeveless tees, or tank tops must be above the imaginary line from one armpit across the chest to the other armpit. 

  • Muscle shirts and athletic tank tops are not allowed. 

  • Halter-tops, spaghetti straps, tube tops, and half shirts are not allowed at any time. NO UNDERGARMENTS, INCLUDING UNDERWEAR OR BRA STRAPS, CAN BE VISIBLE AT ANY TIME.

  • Sunglasses are prohibited in the building. 

  • Inappropriate clothing such as: swimsuits and/or beach cover-ups are not allowed.

  • Wallet chains are not allowed at any time. 


If bus drivers or dorm staff spot inappropriate clothing, students will need to change before being allowed on the bus or dorm. If students arrive at school with inappropriate clothing, replacement clothing will be provided and/or the student will turn the clothing inside out.
